How to Add and Manage Event Registrants and Attendees in Marketing Real-Time Journeys
Chapter 1: Adding Registered People to a Segment
1. Navigate to Segments:
- Go to the "Marketing Real-Time Journeys" section.
- Under "Audience," select "Segments."
2. Create a New Segment:
- Create a new segment, for example, "Test Registrants."
3. Search for Event Attributes:
- On the side panel, search for "Event."
4. Expand Event Attributes:
- Click the arrow to expand the "Event" attributes.
5. Select Event Registration Path:
- Look for "Event" with the search glass icon.
- Choose the path: Event > Event Registration > Contact.
6. Set Path and Select Event:
- Confirm the path to connect to the contacts.
- Select the specific event you are targeting.
- If you have not created an event yet please review "Event Basics"
7. Estimate Audience Size:
- Click "Estimate" to calculate the number of people in the audience.
- If no one has registered, the result will be zero.
Chapter 2: Adding Checked-In People to a Segment
1. Add New Attribute Group:
- Similar to adding registered people, start by adding a new attribute group.
2. Search and Expand Event Attributes:
- Search for "Event" and expand the attributes.
3. Select Event Check-In Path:
- Choose the path: Event > Check-In > Contact.
4. Set Path and Select Event:
- Confirm the path to connect to the attendees.
- Select the specific event for attendees.
Chapter 3: Combining and Excluding Segments
1. Using AND/OR Conditions:
- To include multiple conditions, use "AND" or "OR" between attributes.
- Example: Event is this OR Event is that.
2. Excluding Groups:
- To exclude a group, use "BUT NOT."
- Example: First attribute group BUT NOT attended this event.
